Panama has obtained a favorable award in the arbitration it has maintained since 2013 with Álvarez y Marín Corporación SA and others before a tribunal of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) that has dismissed the claims for expropriation of a hotel project in a Panamanian indigenous reserve.

Panama obtained a favorable and final award from the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in a case filed in 2015 by Álvarez y Marín Corporación SA and a Costa Rican affiliate; Cornelis Willem van Noordenne and Bartus van Noordenne; and the Dutch Anbadi Foundation.
