He currently holds the position of Partner in our firm. He holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Santa María La Antigua, as well as a Master’s Degree in Maritime Law from Tulane University, in New Orleans, United States of America, as well as an Honorary Master’s Degree (Honoris Causa) from the Kobe Institute of Computing.
He has extensive experience working in the Panama Maritime Administration and served as Consul General of Panama in Kobe, Japan, covering the entire area of Western Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto and Imabari.
In this capacity, he serves on our Board of Directors and oversees the Litigation Practice. In addition, he is the designated attorney responsible for advising our clients on real estate, maritime administrative and product representation matters.

JORGE LUIS ALMENGOR CABALLERO

Jorge holds a law degree from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua in Panama. He was a beneficiary of the IFARHU-MEF Scholarship Program to pursue advanced studies in International Business and Commercial Law at Fordham University School of Law, in New York, United States of America.
He was Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Panama for five years and has participated in countless financial transactions, both in the public and private sectors as in-house counsel, external legal counsel, structurer and agent.

Jorge holds a law degree from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua in Panama. He was a beneficiary of the IFARHU-MEF Scholarship Program to pursue advanced studies in International Business and Commercial Law at Fordham University School of Law, in New York, United States of America.

Carlos has a Bachelor degree of Law from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua in Panama, as well as a Master’s degree in Air and Aerospace Law from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He also has a specialization in Public Procurement.
Carlos has extensive experience in the public sector within the Civil Aeronautical Authority where he was in charge of contracting processes. He is currently on leave from our firm, but he was responsible for representing the parties involved in administrative and commercial processes, which include the negotiation and drafting of contracts as well as carrying out administrative procedures at government institutions.

She is currently the Manager of our firm. Ms. Adyani has studies in Administrative and Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua and a Master’s degree in Finance from HULT International Business School University in San Francisco, United States of America, as well as an important work experience at the Directorate of Public Financing of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Panama.
As Administrator of our firm, she oversees the daily operation of the firm, including payments to suppliers, planning and verification of administrative activities.

She is a graduate of Law and Political Science from the Universidad Santa María La Antigua, in addition to having a postgraduate degree in Accusatory Criminal Law and a Diploma in Business Innovation from the Universidad del Istmo; as well as a Diploma in Human Rights from the Santa Maria La Antigua University.
Mrs. Melgar also has experience in criminal cases related to white collar crimes, standing out in our criminal litigation legal team for her dedication and technical criteria in the processes in favor of the victims.
